Different seasons means different clothing. Coats for winter and bathing suits for summer. The same applies to your skin. Different products for different seasons.

Summer is here, and your skin may be feeling extra oily due to the South African sun or simply dried out depending on your skin type. The same applies for every season though, sunscreen is of paramount importance regardless of what season we are in.
Summer heat means cooling gels
It may be harder than ever to grab your moisturizer during such humid and high temperatures, but trust me when I say it's possible to be oily and dehydrated at the exact same time. moisturizers are important to retain moisture on the skin and keep it hydrated, opt for gel-creams and water gels as your salvation. Neutrogena gel cream or water gel could be the fix your skin is needing.
Why moisturizing your skin in summer is important?
oily skin is actually your skin crying out like a new born baby, crying for some hydration and water. Your skin being extremely oily is actually due to it being dry and trying to correct the dryness by creating sebum. sebum is highly comedogenic to your skin and is the cause for blackheads and whiteheads, so be weary an oily t-zone and grab that moisturizer.
Night time routine for regeneration
Applying thick occlusive moisturizers at night could lessen the oil production that your skin creates during the day.
If you treat your skin like it's dry in the evenings and focus on hydrating it with hyaluronic acids and sealing it all in with occlusive moisturizes, I guarantee you that you won't have any problems associated with oiliness during the day.
SPF or Just Forget it.
Spending thousands of Rands on your skincare is commendable. But that money is going down the drain if you're not wearing sunscreen (not moisturizers with spf, not foundations with spf) but an actual product labelled sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection. There is no product in your skincare routine as important as sunscreen. It's anti-ageing, lowers chances of skin cancer and lowers blotchiness on your face. Make sure to reapply if you're out in the sun. If you know its daylight (whether the sun is present or not) apply that sunscreen because the sun is what gives colour to the day, whether its present or not; those UV rays can get you!
